Choosing Flame Retardant PU Wheels: Why Reactive Outperforms Additive

Philson’s V-0 reactive flame retardant PU wheels deliver instant self-extinguishment, zero dripping, and uncompromised industrial-grade durability.

Unmodified polyurethane (PU) elastomers, inherited with hydrocarbon-rich molecular chains and thermally unstable urethane bonds, possess a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of only around 19%. This makes them highly flammable in air and prone to severe molten dripping. Addressing this critical pain point, we have introduced a brand-new generation of halogen-free reactive flame retardants into our polyurethane casting system. 

Distinct from traditional additive flame retardants that are simply powder-blended and inevitably degrade the original physical properties, this novel flame retardant directly participates in the chemical reaction of the polyurethane backbone. 

Leveraging this cutting-edge technological breakthrough, our company has successfully developed and mass-produced a new generation of high-performance flame-retardant polyurethane wheels. This series of wheels has easily achieved the highest safety rating of UL94 V-0 in flammability testing, delivering 'instant self-extinguishment without dripping.' Furthermore, owing to the chemical cross-linking within its molecular framework, it perfectly retains the superior wear resistance and heavy-duty load capacity essential for industrial-grade performance.
